Hale Mua is led by a small board of practitioners, professionals, and cultural stewards. Each brings deep ʻike from their kuleana and to the work we hold in common.

Chief Executive Officer

Native Hawaiian cultural practitioner, musician, and storyteller from Hawaiʻi Island. Practitioner of Hawaiian steel guitar, ipu pāwehe, and ulana ʻIe. Developing a Native Hawaiian prestige drama series rooted in kānaka ʻōiwi lives, ʻāina, and ancestral knowledge. Leads Hale Mua’s organizational vision and partnerships across the lāhui.

Kānaka ʻŌiwi of Hawaiian, Filipino, and Portuguese heritage. Holds music and voice degrees from UH and Indiana University. Accomplished tenor, haku hulu (feather worker), and ulana ʻie weaver. Member of the Royal Order of Kamehameha I.

Over 25 years with the Hawaiʻi County Police Department; AS in Police Science from UH Hilo. Brings financial discipline and community-safety perspective to the board.
