Reviving the Hale Mua.

We perpetuate the traditional skills and values that once thrived within the original Hale Mua — empowering Hawaiian youth and adults to rediscover their identity and fulfill their kuleana.

E Komo Mai · Welcome

A welcome from Aunty Pilahi Paki.

“Aloha is the intelligence with which we meet life. Aloha is unconditional. Aloha is who we are.”

— Pilahi Paki, Kahuna kupuna of the Aloha Spirit

Pilahi Pakiʻs teaching guides everything we do — from pahu making to traditional Hawaiian hale building and pōhaku kuʻi ʻai — ensuring the wisdom of kūpuna continues to inform modern Hawaiian life.

Our Mission

To revive and nurture the original Hale Mua.

“E ola mau ka ʻike kūpuna — the wisdom of our ancestors shall live on.”

We are dedicated to reviving and nurturing the traditional skills and values that once thrived within the original Hale Mua — encompassing everything from pahu making to traditional Hawaiian hale building and pōhaku kuʻi ʻai stone work — empowering Hawaiian youth and adults to rediscover their identity, fulfill their kuleana, and ensure the wisdom of kūpuna informs modern Hawaiian life.

Our work spans cultural craft, environmental stewardship, educational programs, and fiscal sponsorship — anchored on Moku o Keawe and growing into hubs on every major Hawaiian island.
